The Rolling Stones - Between the Buttons

In un album, in tutta una stagione di transizione, Who's Been Sleeping Here?
In the “Annus Mirabilis” of trips & flowers, after painting all black, the Stones yield to colors and harmonies of refined psycho-pop, following a two-lane blacktop: Beatles (Ruby Tuesday) – Dylan (She Smiled Sweetly), that will drive them into highest territories, since Jones & Co. never will give up the rock attack and the decadent poses as cool addicts. In a record, in all a season of the witches of transition, “Who's Been Sleeping Here?” is the hidden gem; and, if Dylan could count on Al Kooper’s harmonic inventions (I Want You, for example), the Sublime Vagrant Nicky Hopkins starts here the adventure with the Stones, thanks to one of his unmistakable carillon-like descending epic.
